The 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile courses all begin on Banta Road directly outside the East Gym of Southport High School. The 10K and 5K start at the same time and share the first 2.9 miles together. All three courses meander through the shaded, quiet streets of Homecroft and conclude with an exciting finish on the track inside Perry Stadium. Coach Hathaway ran many of the same streets for the three courses during his Saturday morning runs.
The 5K course is flat and fast. The second half of the 10K course includes a couple rolling hills. Highlights of the first 3 miles comprise of Southport High School, Homecroft Elementary, PTEC, and Perry Stadium. The second half of the 10K passes by the James Whitcomb Riley Building and Southside Special Services of Marion County.
10K participants must maintain a 15 minute per mile pace. Those with strollers must start in the back. No pets please.
Visit the Information Booth for a hard copy of the course map.
Medical staff will be available on bikes on the course and in the stadium.
