FAQs

Q: How do I register to participate?

A: You may register yourself, your family, and/or your class or team online here. You may also download a paper registration form and send it to the PTEF office via interoffice mail or to 6548 Orinoco Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Online registration closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, September 25th. Paper forms are due in the office by Friday, September 13th to allow time for processing.

Q: How can I promote the event among the non-English speaking families in my class or school?

A: Simply download a copy of the language disclaimer and send it home along with the paper registration form and/or promotional flyer. The EL department staff and volunteers are prepared to assist families who call in by translating the flyer and helping them fill out the registration form.

Q: How do I fundraise for the event?

A: You must register online to participate in the peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. You will create a login when you register and can then log back in any time to build your profile, join or start a team, share your fundraising page on social media, or email friends and family a link to donate. Even if you can’t attend the event, you can register for the “fundraise only” option to help raise money!

Q: Where do I check in or register on the day of the event?

A: Packet pick-up and registration will be in the East Gym of SHS from 7:30-8:30am.

Q: Where are the start and finish lines?

A: All races begin on Banta Road outside Southport High School, and all races finish in Cardinal Stadium. Download a copy of the course map here.

Q: Do I have to register my son or daughter for the Kiddie Romp?

A: There is no registration, just be on the track at 11:00 and ready to run with the mascots.

Q: Do I have to register my son or daughter for to participate in the PE Fitness Circuit?

A: This portion of the event is free and open to the public (along with the health and community fair and Kiddie Romp). Advance registration is not required, however, those who register online before the event will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Your registration helps us determine the winner of the prize for the elementary school with the highest rate of participation – an all-school assembly by the Indy Eleven!

Q: Can I run/walk the 1-Mile with my son or daughter?

A: Anyone that registered for 10K/5K can run/walk the 1-Mile for free, they just aren’t eligible to win the awards.

Q: Are strollers permitted?

A: Strollers are permitted, but we ask that you start behind all other participants.

Q: Can we bring our pet?

A: We love pets too, but we ask that pets remain at home for the event.
